The Trekkers Laager 8 Combined Newsletter for May and June 2026 captures the latest club news, beginning with the successful Annual General Meeting held on 31 May 2026. The newsletter outlines the committee elections, welcomes the newly appointed secretary, Carol Henstock, and reflects on the enjoyable social braai that followed the meeting, celebrating the club's strong sense of community and volunteer spirit.
The newsletter also shares a detailed account of the Berg River Resort outspan held in June 2026. Members enjoyed ideal winter camping conditions, scenic riverside views, relaxed campfire evenings, delicious shared meals, and the camaraderie that makes every Trekkers outing special. Highlights include the presentation of a 50th Outspan Award to Alex and Colleen, observations of improvements around the resort, and the celebration of World Campers Month in true outdoor fashion.
Rounding off the newsletter are birthday wishes, a schedule of upcoming camping outings through November 2026, and a friendly farewell encouraging members to enjoy safe travels until the next adventure.
